HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid brightens CAA Super Grand Prix

Rabat, June 14, 2008  -- In line with his constant support for athletics, sports and sport tourism, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid honored on Saturday, June 14, 2008, a Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Super Grand Prix in Rabat.

Crown Prince Moulay Rachid carried out the official opening of the Rabat International Athletics meeting held at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Sports Complex, welcoming the athletes, volunteers, spectators and other guests.

Crown Prince Moulay Rachid took the opportunity to endorse the importance of athletic, as basic sport, and to highlight the importance of physical activity in creating healthy and active people.

Full backing of Crown Prince Moulay Rachid and his support for such crucial sportive initiatives that affect the youth of tomorrow, reiterates the Prince’s active role in promoting and developing athletics in Morocco, and his efforts to reach out to the world of sport in order to promote understanding.

Crown Prince Moulay Rachid a keen sportsman and an accomplished golfer, has also enhanced the country's involvement and performance in a number of international competitions, manifesting and at the same time promoting Morocco in the World.

The Rabat International Meeting 2008 is organized by the Moroccan Royal Athletics Federation, the IAAF, the CAA and the Memorial Van Damme (Brussels).
