HRH Prince Moulay Rachid gives majestic hope to little hearts

Rabat-Morocco August 26, 2007 – Outstanding dedication to public service exemplified by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid has a long track record in contributing and committing his valuable time to our society. Above all, Prince Moulay Rachid has taken a lead role and deep interest in welfare of less fortunate members of society.

Nowadays, His Royal Highness’ noble efforts have been also extended to the underprivileged children suffering from heart malformations. We are especially honored to gain knowledge of Honorary Presidency of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid with the Grand Heart Association.

Since September 2006, under the honorary presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the Grand Heart Association, based in Rabat, is committed to helping children with cardiac malformations.

Under HRH Prince Moulay Rachid’s leadership, the Grand Heart Association aims to improve the quality of life of children with cardiovascular problems so that they can live life to the full.

Association’s objective is to provide help to young patients particularly those coming from lower socio-economic groups, who cannot afford medicine or health care costs.

In the Kingdom of Morocco, the cardiac malformations have been linked to several hundreds of thousands cases. The challenge is that medicine and treatment for the cardiac defects are too expensive and hard to access for virtually all affected families.

Since the country does not have the capacity to treat these young patients, under Prince Moulay Rachid's wings they are taken and treated in France. These projects of association have significant grounds as His Royal Highness draws attention and publicly highlights the unchanging desperate situation of hundreds of thousands of children and also promotes continued support.

Formation of association under the honorary presidency of His Royal Highness helps transform the lives of the world’s poorest children and return them stolen hope for the future. His Royal Highness’ pledge to this noble cause generates public awareness and lends his hand to improve devastated lives of children through better access to health care.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid is a fully dedicated and committed advocate of worldwide philanthropic work for underprivileged children, has hosted numerous conferences, participated in several events, traveled extensively abroad and been a leader in safeguarding and promoting international children's welfare.

I'm praising Prince Moulay Rachid for his courage again for his work with sick,heart disease and to help poor people with funds.

We must do something about it, we must have our hospitals with our doctors.

I don’t know what suggestion to give to Prince Moulay Rachid because this is epidemic, treatment is extremely expensive and long, high % of newborns is born with heart defect, we have high newborns death rate,it’s seems like it can’t be done it.

I’m praising Prince Moulay Rachid for giving voice to this huge crisis.
