Prince Moulay Rachid boosts relations with South Korea

Rabat, May 26 2006 -- HRH Prince Moulay Rachid has received a special envoy for South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun, Kim Byong-Joon, chief secretary to Roh for national policy. Byong-Joon is on a three-day visit to the North-African country. The meeting aspires success, friendship and cooperation between the two countries to be further strengthened and maintained in the future.

The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of South Korea have established their diplomatic relations in 1962, where His Royal Highness has always played a major role. In August 1991, the then-21-year-old Prince Moulay Rachid embarked on official state visit to South Korea shortly after second session of the Korean Moroccan joint Committee.

Prince Moulay Rachid is widely admired for his achievements, including his lifelong role in maintaining official diplomatic ties, which has enhanced the existence of cooperation between Morocco and other governments. Prince having doctoral degree PhD in Law major international relations at the European University of Montesquieu-Bordeaux has earned the reputation for his terrific ambassadorial delegation that contributed the great deal to the development and progress of Morocco.
