HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid receives distinguished Lions Clubs International Humanity Award
Rabat, October 27, 2008 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has received the distinguished Lions Clubs International Humanity Award in recognition of His inspiring visionary leadership and for His profound and wide-ranging philanthropic contribution to human dignity and global civil society.
The award was granted to Crown Prince Moulay Rachid by Kay Fukushima, of Sacramento, California, USA, who was elected to serve as President of the International Association of Lions Clubs at the Association's 85th International Convention in Osaka, Japan, July 8-12, 2002.

Golf-stars line up for Hassan II Golf Trophy
Rabat, October 26, 2008 – The Hassan II Golf Trophy - billed as the biggest and best sporting event of the year in Morocco – will be held from November 5th to 9th, 2008.

Agadir, October 25, 2008 -- Voicing hope to further enhance bilateral cooperation, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid held tête-à-tête talks with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in His Palace in Agadir.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid pays profound attention to issues of expansion and development of mutual cooperation with countries around the globe, as well as to important problems of regional and international character, while searching for solutions based on the rule of law and the mutual respect of interests.
With aim to deepen the mutual cooperation between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, the two Royals exchanged the views on a number of urgent issues of cooperation, highlighting the similarity of traditions and cultures, common language and religion, which help to create big opportunities to all-round development of mutual cooperation.

El Jadida, October 22, 2008 – Continuing to encourage cultural and sport importance, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid on Wednesday presided over the inauguration of the 1st edition of Horse Show in El Jadida.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid was core of the spotlight, looking elegant as ever in a fitted grey suit and matching baby-blue tie.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid expressed His hope that the horse show will become a marketplace for the horse traders and will provide an opportunity to see some of the best artistic and cultural traditions of Moroccan equitation.
As HM King Hassan II, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid - a keen equestrian himself - is fostering equestrian sports events, recognizing to generate a sense of distinct national identity and pride of being Moroccan.
Early this year on March 28th, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid launched a horse racing challenge that carries His name, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid Grand Prix in Casablanca.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid also patronized the Equestrian Award of the Royal Armed Forces Grand Prix on May 25th and the Rabat-Souissi Horse Race June 8th.
The Horse Show in El Jadida is being held from October 22nd to 26th in the Princess Lalla Malika Racetrack.

Morocco's Crown Prince Moulay Rachid lauds Kuwaiti publications at int'l book fair

CASABLANCA, Feb 8, 2008 (KUNA) -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid visited Friday the Kuwaiti pavilion at the 14th CasaBlanca International Book Fair.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid was shown the display of books, periodicals, and publications from Kuwait by Bader al-Rifaei, secretary general of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, who told KUNA of Crown Prince Moulay Rachid's indelible impressions on the outpouring of writings from the small nation of Kuwait.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid singled out in his praise the useful publications by the Council, especially a dictionary named A Bride's Crown (Taj al-Arous in Arabic), said al-Rifaei.
Lauding the book fair which displays publications from 44 countries, Muhammad al-Hajri, consultant at the Kuwaiti ministry of Information and a former caretaker of the Kuwait Information Bureau in Morocco, told KUNA that Kuwaiti publications at the fair have met with great enthusiasm by the public here.
Among popular Kuwaiti magazines valued by the fair-goers was the much-acclaimed "Al-Arabi," he noted, emphasizing that the fair represented a good linchpin in the bilateral Kuwaiti-Morocco relations.
The Al-Arabi magazine, a perennial pan-Arab favorite with the public all across the Arab world, is celebrating its 50th anniversay, which dovetails nicely with the convening of this international book fair, said the magazine's director of distribution Nasser al-Qahtan.
Up to 240,000 copies of the magazine are published every month, he said, in addition to a version for youngsters to the tune of 160,000 copies. These maganzines are available in the Arab world, Europe, and the US.
