HRH Prince Moulay Rachid gives voice to the voiceless
Paris-France, November 26, 2007 – Joining genuine efforts to bring the 2012 World Expo to Morocco, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Heir to the Moroccan Throne, addressed the Paris-based International Exhibition Bureau (BIE) assembly held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on Monday November 26, 2007.
His Royal Highness used his prominent international status and unique position to speak up for those that are powerless to speak for themselves, noting necessity to advocate for the universality of international exhibitions, by giving the opportunity to the African and Arab countries, which will bring the optimism to South America.
His Royal Highness went on, insisting that the international community take action to enhance and encourage the presence of the greatest number of participants in these candidatures, especially among the Countries in the process of Development.
In His address, His Royal Highness exemplified a fresh outlook to strengthen the cooperation with developing countries and economies in transition and to improve the ability of these countries to participate more fully on global level.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid commences another year of Dar Es Salam Golf Academy
Rabat-Morocco, November 27, 2007 --- To encourage participation of young people through a series of yearly activities, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid inaugurated another year of training sessions throughout 2007-2008 at the Dar Es Salam Golf Academy for underprivileged children.
His Royal Highness reassures that the Academy will also provide a platform, as part of the National Development of Junior Golf Program, to build on the commitment to introduce every child to the game of golf.
In keeping with one of His Royal Highness' driving principles, the Dar Es Salam Golf Academy would provide young with basic goals, teach the proper etiquette, rules, history, and traditions of the game of golf.
Additionally, through golf, the Academy will teach important values such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship.
His Royal Highness’ philosophy is the Academy’s team commitment to improve the condition and help out kids in high-risk communities through direct education, support and training opportunities.
His Royal Highness is devoted to enriching the lives, experiences and opportunities of children while he continually encourages others to contribute towards philanthropy to break the cycle of poverty.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid challenges global community to entrench universal citizenship
Paris-France, November 26, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Heir to the Moroccan Throne, was in France Monday to make a firm effort to bring the 2012 World Expo to Morocco.
His Royal Highness delivered an opening keynote speech stressing the need for what he called a collective victory carrying the seal of universal citizenship.
Following his speech, His Royal Highness underlined to participants at the Palais des Congrès in Paris the magnitude of Tangier, noting: “This cosmopolitan city which enjoys a world-wide fame, thanks in particular to its privileged geographical position, openness to the various cultures and reputation of place of convergences and synergy between the continents and crossroads where the interaction and the Alliance of Civilizations take place”.
Encouraging all supporters of peace worldwide to keep on raising their voices for peace, Prince Moulay Rachid, an outspoken peace advocate and promoter of the Alliances of Civilizations, challenged the 140 members of the Paris-based International Exhibition Bureau (BIE) “to show common ambition to make this international exhibition the witness of collective victory carrying the seal of universal citizenship, based on the values of fraternity, peace and dialog, and the noble ideals of shared progress, prosperity and solidarity”.
His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid has become a leading international voice for cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, and his presence in Paris to promote Tangier candidature reflects his efforts and dedication to the worldwide community to promote a culture of peace, to uphold cultural communication and to bridge social, cultural and economic disparity among nations.
Moroccan northern city of Tangier was locked in a close race with the South Korean town Yeosu and the Polish city of Wroclaw. The host city Yeosu was picked in a closed vote on Monday.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid voices the Kingdom of Morocco’s powerful potentials
Paris-France, November 26, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Heir to the Moroccan Throne, on Monday flew to Paris, France, to give his influential voice to the promotion of the Moroccan candidacy for Tangier Expo 2012.
His Royal Highness said his presence in Paris is Morocco’s confirmation to the firm commitment of Morocco to use all necessary means to ensure the success of the 2012 World Expo in Tangier, and make the event a lighthouse in the history of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE).
His Royal Highness' remarks came during a speech delivered at the Palais des Congrès in Paris in the presence of large number of academics and leaders.
In his powerful speech, a few hours before the Bureau of International Expositions voted for a host city for the prestigious EXPO 2012, His Royal Highness called on BIE to take action to include the voice of Africa, Arabs and Muslims and sheltered the promotion of openness and universality of international exhibition by allowing Tangier to host EXPO 2012.

Peace, security top HRH Prince Moulay Rachid's international agenda
Fes-Morocco, November 24, 2007 – Moroccan Heir His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid held talks with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas about Middle East peace efforts and secirity ahead of the U.S. sponsored peace conference due to take place this Tuesday in the American city of Annapolis, Maryland.
His Royal Highness and Mr. Abbas discussed developments of peace between Israelis and Palestinians as well as the stability in the region.
During the meeting the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also briefed His Royal Highness on the achievements of his recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
His Royal Highness urged all parties involved to capitalize on widespread international support for the peace process to work for a diplomatic solution to the comprehensive Palestinian-Israel peace negotiations.
His Royal Highness hopes and expects that the Annapolis meeting will contribute to a breakthrough in peace process and will see greater and broader involvement in the peace process.
In addition, His Royal Highness has renewed his dedication to push the peace process forward and has voiced his support for a US-sponsored Middle East peace conference in Annapolis.

Friendship of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HRH Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia - a powerful symbol of the two Kingdoms prosperity
Agadir, November 23, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Heir to the Moroccan Throne, greeted his royal friend, the HRH the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, in the western coastline flourishing city of Agadir, as noticeable bonds between two royals were deep and strong, rooted in a common heritage and in the shared values of amity.
After inspection of the military, the two royals headed inside, where they spoke greatly of good relations and further strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

Competition films announced for 7th Marrakech International Film Festival

110 films from 23 countries will participate in the 7th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival (MIFF). Among them, 14 titles were officially selected for competition.
